I am very pleased to hear that you are being told about Russian literature in the UK. In Russia, literature is of such great importance that we are even called a literature-centered nation.

One of the most popular writers among Russian teenagers is Sergei Lukyanenko. Several of his books have been screened, and the director who made “Night Watch” later worked in Hollywood, which was an unprecedented success. Lukyanenko's books have unpredictable plot twists, but my favorite writers are the Strugatsky brothers who wrote in the genre of social fiction. The most important book of Russian civilization is “War and Peace” by Leo Tolstoy. Every foreigner should read it first of all because the worldview of the Russians is revealed in this book.

Please tell me about your present. Who gave it to you? Was it handmade? How often do you receive presents?
