Speaker A.
Many people would like their work to be of use to society. This sincere desire is worthy of respect. But I believe that in addition to being useful, it should bring money. Don't you agree that this is perfectly fair? The more we help other people, the more they are willing to pay for it. Good specialists always have high salaries precisely because their labor is the most useful. And if a person earns little, what good is his work? It means that his work can be done by anyone. I am convinced that it is money that determines the value of labor.
Speaker B.
Today in our society there are many workaholics whose labor is of great use. They can manage big projects or help people by holding a minor position. I think they are quite happy and may earn good money. They work day and night to the detriment of rest and even sleep. But I believe that working very hard is dangerous to health. I would like to find a job where I don't have to work long hours. Ideally, I would even agree to earn less, but work three 3-4 hours a day. Then I would have free time for sports and recreation and would not be afraid of mental fatigue.
Speaker C.
I am capable of working very hard. But sometimes it happens that even a very short working day exhausts me completely. This happens when I am given very important tasks. In this case I get very nervous, because my mistakes can lead to serious consequences. Some people tolerate such working conditions very well, but it is hard for me. On days like this I even think about changing jobs. I need money and I want to do what I love, but my peace of mind is much more important. I'm willing to work 14 hours a day, but only if I have less responsibility.
Speaker D.
You don't have to work very hard to earn good money. You can work 3-4 hours a day and make millions. It's all about what you do. If you're an accountant, you can hardly expect to make a good salary. This in no way means that your job is useless. It just means that it can be done by anyone who has completed a 6-month course for accountants. But if you are a surgeon with years of experience, your salary can be comparable to that of a successful businessman. It's all determined by your skills. The salary of a job that can be done by a thousand people cannot be equal to the salary of a person who is one of a kind in his skills.
Speaker E.
I feel sorry for people who do jobs they don't like. Maybe they are attracted by high salaries or short working hours, but I think it's wrong to do something you don't like. I don't need millions, all I care about is coming to work and feeling emotionally uplifted by what I do. I know that I am doing good for people, but it is much more important for me to feel pleasure from my work. Even if many people think that being an accountant is very boring, I enjoy working with numbers and reports because it makes me happy. I don't understand people who chase after a big salary but live in constant depression.
Speaker F.
In this age of Internet there are so many new professions. Now there are many modern specialists who work 3-4 hours a day and earn well. It might seem that everything is OK here. If the work is paid, it means that it is of use. But I would not jump to conclusions. I believe that a lot of modern Internet-related professions are completely artificial and do not really help other people in any way. I know the real professions, they are doctor, teacher, fireman, baker. These are the ones on whom the well-being of our society depends. I would not want to connect my life with a profession that exists only in the virtual world.
